ND Governor Declares Encephalitis Day

There you have it JM Stebbins friends -- the announcement I've been dying to make for a few weeks now!

If you saw my segment promoting World Encephalitis Day and the 4th Annual Bismarck Brain Walk on CBS/KX Net's Studio 701 last week, you heard it first: Governor Doug Burgum recently signed a proclamation declaring February 22nd as Encephalitis Day right here in North Dakota!! That means that each and every February 22nd, North Dakota will join in on the World Encephalitis Day celebration! Thus, I could not be more excited about this beautiful piece of paper!!

Can you believe that in many countries, encephalitis is more common than ALS, multiple sclerosis, bacterial meningitis, and cerebral palsy; yet 8 out of 10 people in the world have never heard of encephalitis?! We have our call to action, friends: more awareness!

Please join me in spreading awareness and celebrating this exciting new North Dakota proclamation by joining in the 4th annual Bismarck Brain Walk! Remember, it's as easy as 1-2-3:

1) Wear something RED;

2) Take a WALK;

3) TAG me on social media with #Red4WED!

You can also send a friend a copy of Unwillable, direct a colleague to the JM Stebbins blog, and share the Brain Fever podcast with family.

With your friendship and support, we are spreading very important encephalitis awareness in North Dakota and all over the globe! Let's keep going!! #BismarckBrainWalk #Red4WED
