ICYMI: I was recently on NBC's North Dakota Today to chat about May's Mental Health Awareness month and my lived experience with mental health post-autoimmune encephalitis.

I talked about how mental health is a process and as I share in my keynotes, you need to find your community and ask for help.

I also shared my personal tried and true methods to keep my mental health steady: Sleep, fresh air, exercise, daily journaling, community, and activity AND consistent therapy and daily medication. I genuinely believe that it was through counseling that I turned my Unwillable situation into something Willable!

Mostly, I try to provide hope and comfort to others who are struggling. Please know you're not alone and there's no reason to be ashamed or lonely with afflictions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, grief, and loss. It's hard to be human. Don't face it alone!

I believe it with all my heart, whether it's surviving the horrors of autoimmune encephalitis or the despair of anxiety and depression, Just Keep Swimming ~ there are always Better Days Ahead!
